The new TNT series premiering on July 12, 2010, Rizzoli & Isles follows the relationship between Boston Detective Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and medical examiner Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander). The series is based on Tess Gerritsen’s novels and described as reminiscent of the 1980’s television series Cagney & Lacey.
