The
single story in Daredevil #7, the two-part story between the Amazing Spider-Man
and Daredevil, and the upcoming three-part Omega Effect shows how shorter
storylines build into larger epics. Mark Waid has really brought Daredevil back
following the events of Shadowland.
Matt
Murdock escorts a school bus of blind students back home from the Catskills however
the bus crashes and the driver dies. As the snow storm approaches Daredevil
cannot use his radar and time runs out. It’s the blind students who rescue Matt
and take him to safety.
After
Daredevil obtained a database containing secrets from various criminal
organizations, the Black Cat is tasked to retrieve the missing database the Omega Drive .
Meanwhile Matt Murdock investigates the disappearance of his father’s coffin by
Mole Man and his soldiers the Moloids.
Last time
we saw the Mole Man he kidnapped Mayor J. Jonah Jameson in the pages of Avenging Spider-Man to help him save
his Subterranea. Both Spider-Man and the Red Hulk were brought to help Mole Man
and his Moloids fight the Molans who are the new rulers of Subterranea.
Daredevil
confronts Mole Man who has brought his decreased love Lorna underground. Unable
to return the dead, Daredevil takes the diamonds for those who lost loved ones.
Matt heads home to find a letter from the Black Cat who warns him his Omega Drive is not
safe and Megacrime would be able to find it.
