Ales Kot (Zero) brings James Gordon Jr. into the Suicide Squad. Harley Quinn stabs the Unknown Soldier and takes out Amanda Waller. Harley Quinn negotiates a new deal for herself and the Suicide Squad. She wanted the removal of the neck bombs and freedom within a year by becoming informants.

Seventeen days later the Suicide Squad is in Las Vegas to stop a group of anarchists who have wired billboards into hypnotic suggestions causing them to be violent. The anarchist unleashes a monster made up dead corpses. It is revealed former Team 7 member John Lynch is behind it all. The team is sent to retrieve John Lynch and assassinate a dictator.

Deadshot takes a shot a John Lynch which sends his team into action. However the Suicide Squad disables his team. Waller sends drones to kill Lynch and the Suicide Squad returns home.

Detective Comics #23.2 The New 52 origin of Harley Quinn is told before joining the Suicide Squad.

Justice League of America #7.1 writer Matt Kindt takes on Deadshot and gives us an origin that leads us into the Suicide Squad tie-ins by the same writer.
