Review: Book of Death: The Fall of Harbinger #1 [2015] Joshua Dysart | Kano

The Bleeding Monk warned Toyo Harada that Peter Stanchek was destined to be the Great Destroyer. Peter formed the Renegades to bring down Harada’s empire. Peter went into hiding and Harada waged war to realize his vision of imposing world peace at the end of sword. In the year 2183 Peter is the President of the Harbinger Foundation and the Bleeding Monk warns him that Harada is returning to Earth more powerful than ever before he bled to death.

Harada returns to Earth and his mind is dumped into Peter’s to become a Singular Omega. The issue was a painful read as we are given the experience of what is happening in the mind of Peter and less on the consequences of his actions. It becomes rather confusing at times with a predictable ending. The story began with the death of the Bleeding Monk and ends with the birth of a new Bleeding Monk with no explanation of how it happened giving the readers a story without closure.
