The
Marvel Comics December Solicitations begins with the ending of Secret Wars as Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters. Marvel is preparing for
the release with Star Wars Annuals and a special one-shot. The Darth Vader Annual is a jumping point
for new fans as the story is self-contained while introducing the Dark Lord. The
Star Wars Annual showcases Imperial
spies as the Star Wars Special
focuses on how C-3P0 got the red arm which he will have during the Force
Awakens.
Other
Marvel highlights include Mary Jane Watson is added to the supporting cast of
the Invincible Iron Man, Amadeus Cho
becomes the new Hulk, Daredevil has an apprentice, and the Uncanny X-Men is led by Magneto. Overall
the new titles are charting new waters of creativity however everything depends
on longevity in the comic industry.
