Devil Comics Review | Batman: Rebirth #1 [2016]

Writer Tom King takes over the Batman series from Scott Snyder and the first Rebirth villain is the Calender Man who ages with the seasons. Bruce Wayne regains his company and fortune following Batman Eternal and brings Duke Thomas to become something other than a Robin. This is a quick issue where we restore Bruce Wayne to billionaire status and little if anything else. I was expecting Rebirth would be a history lesson from Gotham City to the Court of Owls and how the Batman legacy plays into it after the events of Grant Morrison's R.I.P. This was a disappointing filler issue when more is expected after DC Universe: Rebirth #1.
