The Fall
and the Fallen is the build of Tom King’s run on Batman where Selina Kyle broke
up with Bruce Wayne and now suffers with uncertainty. Batman breaks out of his
trance under Arkham Asylum and fights his way out. He gathers his team to take
Arkham Asylum back from Bane but discovers everything is normal. Now Batman
realizes that Bane has broken him as well as his back with the help of his own
father the Flashpoint Batman.
The
Flashpoint Batman wants Bruce to give up becoming Batman and be happy. So he
travels to one of the Lazarus Pits to resurrect his wife Martha. However Bruce
buries his mother in the desert and fights his own father in a pit. The stage
is set for Batman to take on Bane.
