Both Hal Jordan and Larfleeze face off against Hector Hammond who is powered by the Avarice entity Ophidian who wants Carol Ferris. All three of them head off to Las Vegas.

The Zamarons discuss that the Violet Lantern needs the power source of the Predator entity. Carol Ferris is informed by them to hunt the entity that will enact violence. Evil is good perverted so love is an obsessive emotion that is powered by the Predator.

The Predator inhibits Abraham Pointe and corrupts its host as Parallax had corrupted Hal Jordan. However it is the host that corrupts the entity. The Predator faces off against the combined might of Hal Jordan, Carol Ferris, and Larfleeze. Finally Carol stops and retrieves the Predator to heads back to Zamaron with Hal Jordan and Lafleeze in tow where a new queen is chosen.

Writer Geoff Johns really brings out the psychology of emotions within his book. Johns masters the good and bad aspects of love and their consequences. He just doesn’t make up stuff to creates – Johns has really researched the material needed for a great Green Lantern story.
