MORNING GLORIES VOLUME 3: P.E.
TRADE PAPERBACK
The
Morning Glory Academy announces Woodrun for all students and arranges them in
teams. Casey, Jade, and Ike are on the same team while Hunter, Jun, and Zoe are
on another one. After receiving a note from guidance counselor Ms. Lara Hodge,
Casey, Jade, and Ike meet her to escape however Ms. Hodge only invited Jade and
Hunter along with Casey. Ms. Hodge and Casey sit down and teleport away however
they are surrounded by the US Marines one of which happens to be Casey’s father
Dan Blevins in the distant past.
After
Casey is water-tortured, Ms. Hodge rescues her and escapes the military base
and gives her a bag and instructions. Ms. Hodge heads underground while Casey
heads to New York City .
Hunter, Jun,
and Zoe are on the same team for Woodrun. Another student Maggie tags Jun and
sends him back to camp leaving Hunter and Zoe to fend for themselves. Zoe later
kills Maggie as Hunter witnesses the event. Zoe chases after Hunter to kill him
however she is shot dead by someone who looks like her. Writer Nick Spencer’s
Morning Glories is meant to be collected in trade form rather than individual
issues because it is a rich story to be told a few issues at a time.
