Film Review: G.I. Retaliation [2013]

The film follows the events of Rise of Cobra however without Destro because it was too expensive to keep the character there with his face. However new characters were injected into the film including Bruce Willis/ General Joe Colton and Ray Stevenson/Firefly. The film is a soft reboot from the first however carries the element of POTUS being Zartan and wreaking havoc on the Joes. 

Zartan as the President orders a hit on the Joes by his own special forces called Cobra. Now the Joes are on run and they seek the help General Joe Colton. Meanwhile Storm Shadow disguised as Snake Eyes with Firefly frees Cobra Commander who leaves Destro in prison. The real Snake Eyes kidnaps Storm Shadow to discover Cobra plans. Storm Shadow agrees to help the Joes because Zartan killed the Hard Master. Zartan destroys London but the Joes manage to save the other cities from falling. The 9-month delay was worth the wait as the story and action brought the best sequel to the previous Rise of Cobra film and looking forward to the next G.I Joe adventure.
