Oliver
Queen’s Hackett bodyguard was planning on stealing 14 million dollars from him
for China White. Hackett dumps Oliver into the sea and his body drifts onto an
island where he finds a village which was torched. Later he encounters a plane
targeting him and Oliver uses his new arrow to strike it down. At the crash
site he discovers they were targeting him because the island is used to make
Opium.
Oliver
discovers both Hackett and China White are on the island and faces off with
Hackett who reveals China White is the queen of the South East Opium empire. He
takes on both Hackett and China White head-on and rescues the slaves working
for them.
Writer
Andy Diggle and artist Jock who both previously worked on Losers which was made into a film bring the origin of Oliver Queen.
Several years later CW launches Arrow
showcasing Oliver Queen following ten seasons of Smallville which brought the early adventures of Clark Kent. Recently
the duo teamed up for a creator-owned project called Snapshot which has less
spectacular reviews.
