Film Review: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

SPOILERS AHEAD

The second Hobbit film was much more entertaining than the first one. The Dwarves have hired Bilbo to steal the Arkenstone back from Smaug. Their travels cross paths with the Wood Elves lead by Legolas and Tauriel. Meanwhile Gandalf confronts the Necromancer who is Sauron. The Dwarves escape the Wood Elves and head to the Lonely Mountain where they are confronted by Smaug. After the confrontation, the Dragon Smaug decides to take his vengeance on the Lake-town as Azog and the Orcs march to Lonely Mountain. The stage is set for the final part of the trilogy - The Hobbit: There and Back Again.
