TASKMASTER #1
The Org is the super villain underground organization that connects the Hand, Hydra, and AIM together. Rumors arise that Taskmaster has turned traitor and a billion-dollar bounty is on his head. Now Taskmaster must find the Org to get the bounty redacted or kill them. However after mimicking and training various various heroes and villains his memory has reached a limit making him forget his personal life.
Writer Fred Van Lente describes the 4-issue miniseries as a reintroduction of the character as well as introductions of new characters including Don of the Dead, the Town Where Everyone Is Hitler, and the mysterious Redshirt. This is a wonderful series that brings the personality and humanity of a villain to life. Van Lente provides the insights into his mind and how he remembers fighting styles. Marvel Comics did not chicken out on the art for this series as Jefte Palo has become the artist to watch out for in the future. His tight pencils really give this issue personality especially the close quarters fight scene within the diner. This issue also provides a nice bio and summary on the backend of former students of Taskmaster. Definitely worth the read and very enjoyable.
