E09: Avengers & X-Men: Axis #2 Red Supremacy | Magneto #11 | Death of Wolverine #4 | Spider-Man 2099 #5 Edge of Spider-Verse Reviews [Devil Comics Entertainment]

The second issue of Avengers & X-Men: Axis begins as Red Onslaught unleashed two Adamantium Stark Sentinels against the combined forces of Avengers and X-Men. Each of the Avengers and X-Men fall before the Sentinels while Magneto retreats from the scene.  A final assault against Red Onslaught leaves Iron Man facing the villain alone until Magneto returns with his army of villains.

Magneto #11 reveals how he manages to bring the villains together. The Stark Sentinels are programmed to destroy anyone with heroic intentions. Magneto unites Sabretooth, Mystique, Carnage, Absorbing Man, Hobgoblin, Dr. Doom, Loki, the Enchantress, Deadpool, and Jack O’Lantern against the Red Onslaught.

Spider-Man 2099 #5 Morlun is traveling the multiverse killing Spider-Men. Now he is targeting the Spider-Men of 2099. We are made aware that Morlun is afraid of the Marvel 616 Universe because it is the place where he died. The stage is set for Spider-Verse

The Death of Wolverine finale is finally here after it was announce over a year ago. Wolverine confronts his creator Cornelius who is creating more Wolverines however he needs Logan’s healing factor which he does not have. Dr. Cornelius attempts to use the Adamantium he has collected to infect his test subjects. However Logan sacrifices himself instead and is bathed in Adamantium. Dr. Cornelius dies and Wolverine looks out into his final sunset and dies covered in Adamantium. Overall the series is anti-climactic and Wolverine is not given the proper send-off he deserves.
