E69: Batman Eternal #47 | Batman #39 | Arkham Manor #5 Reviews [Devil Comics Entertainment]

Batman Eternal #47 begins as Julia Pennyworth tells Batman the villains are leveling up. Batman asks his family to protect Gotham including Batwing, Red Robin, Blue Bird, Batgirl, and Red Hood. Meanwhile someone enters the Batcave and shoots Julia out into Gotham River as Batman arrives while Gotham is burning.

Batman #39 continues Endgame as Batman confronts the Court of Owls to learn the true origins of the Joker. Last issue the we saw the Joker swimming however this issue we find out where he was swimming towards: the Batcave. Alfred comfronts him and the Joker chops off his hand. Now Batman teams up with his two families the heroes and the dysfunctional villains to stop the Joker’s madness before it consumes Gotham. Writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo pushes the limits of the story for the grand finale next issue.

Arkham Manor #5 sees Batman fighting the mysterious assailant hiding in the walls. Batman finally confronts him and asks him who he is. He responds by biting his tongue off. Now Batman tracks down a missing inmate by the name of Seth Wickham who heads home but Batman maybe too late. This issue nearly concludes the mystery of Arkham Manor however we still do not know the identity of the assailant. Next issue is the final issue and I am hopefully for a wrap that includes the identity of the assailant as well as a memorable legacy to the final issue of the series after enjoying the last four issues.
