Devil Comics Review | Supergirl [2019] Season 4

Supergirl has to stop Mercy and Otis Graves from attacking the President’s Camp David Alien Summit. The incident exposes the President as an alien while as the Graves works with Agent Liberty to rid the world of aliens. In Russia another Supergirl emerges. Mercy attacks L Corp however she gets captured and place in a cell next to her brother Otis however they both escape and poison Supergirl. Now Supergirl needs to wear a suit to protect herself from Krypton radiation affecting the world. The original of Agent Liberty is revealed as a xenophobic terrorist. Agent Liberty's identity is revealed to the public as Ben Lockwood while fighting Manchester Black and Supergirl. 

Now the leader of the DEO wants Supergirl's identity to be revealed so Kara's sister Alex erases all memory of Kara to protect her. Manchester Black assembles the Elite to fight against Agent Liberty. They begin by targeting the White House with a satellite which Supergirl destroys. Lex Luthor returns by shooting James Olsen so her sister Lena Luthor can test the cure on him. Lex uses Lena's cure to heal himself and escapes custody while being confronted by Supergirl. 

The back story reveals how Luthor manipulated Red Daughter and trick his sister by giving himself cancer. This allow Luthor to cure himself and have superpowers. Luthor teams up with another foreign country to attack the United States and he will set himself up to be its protector. He succeeds but Kara exposes Luthor who reveals to Lena that Kara is Supergirl before he dies. Now Season 5 sets up Leviathan as well as Crisis in Infinite Earths. 

Devil Comics Review | Elseworlds [2018]

Oliver Queen and Barry Allen find each other’s identity reverse where Oliver is the Flash and Barry is the Green Arrow. They travel to another Earth to find Supergirl who understands something is wrong. Returning home Barry and Oliver unite with Superman and Supergirl to take down Amazo. Barry, Oliver, and Kara find that the person responsible is John Deegan who is working with a Monitor to change reality in Gotham City. They meet with Kate Kane who is Batwoman.

John Deegan rewrites the world again and now he becomes the Dark Superman. Kara is imprisoned while Oliver and Barry are on the run. She talks to her sister so she is freed. Barry and Oliver bring Superman to fight off the Dark Superman. Oliver makes a deal with the Monitor to save both Flash and Supergirl. Now the world returns back to normal however the stage is set for Crisis in Infinite Earths.

Devil Comics Review | Supergirl [2018] Season 3 Reign

After dealing with the Daxamite Invasion and the loss of Mon-El, Kara becomes a full-time Supergirl until she realizes her life as Kara is important. Afterwards Supergirl joins Martian Manhunter on Mars to save his planet after discovering his father is still alive. Kara investigates a cult based around Rao the Kryptonian deity and claims Supergirl as their savior. The group is formed from the survivors Kara saved as her first outing as Supergirl. 

Lena Luthor is framed for poisoning children with lead radiation when she used the Daxamite bomb to defend Earth by Morgan Edge. Both Kara and Samantha Arias find the answers to the frame up and informs Lena who is later kidnapped by Morgan Edge. Supergirl rescues Lena and Samantha discovers she can withstand bullets. 

Kara finds Mon-El in a 12,000 year-old ship as Samantha discovers her Kryptonian heritage. Kara discovers Mon-El went into the future and arrived in the 31st century Earth where he got married to Saturn Girl of the Legion of Superheroes. Samantha uses the Kryptonian crystal to build the Fortress of Sanctuary and discovers she is the worldkiller Reign. 

After Kryptonian symbols are appearing all over National City, Supergirl confronts Reign who defeats her. Kara is in a coma and Brainiac 5 helps to guide her come back. Meanwhile the Legion of Superheroes assemble to hold off against Reign until Kara arrives to stop her. 

Supergirl and Saturn Girl team up with Livewire and Psi on a mission to Fort Rozz to recover a prisoner Rozz who has information on how to defeat Reign.  Kara discovers from Rozz that other Worldkillers exist before she is killed by Reign. Livewire and Psi take on Reign to save Supergirl but Livewire is killed. Supergirl returns to Earth trying to find the other Worldkillers before Reign does. 

Someone attempts an assassination on Morgan Edge who blames Lena Luthor for attempted murder. Later Lena is targeted and discovers it was her own mother Lillian Luthor who orchestrated her assassination. Now Lillian makes another attempt but her daughter Lena prevents his assassination so she takes care of him with a Lex Suit. Supergirl and Mon El arrive and stops Lillian while Morgan Edge is arrested for the previous assassination attempts on Lena. 

DEO captures the Worldkiller Purity who escapes and attacks the city’s subway tunnel where Supergirl, Mon-El, Alex, and Martian Manhunter attempt to stop her. Reign arrives and takes Purity to find the third Worldkiller Pestilence. J’onn, Winn, and Mon-El band together to fix the Legion ship. We discover the marriage between Mon-El and Saturn Girl was arranged to unite the planets. The Legion's mission was to find the third Worldkiller who will become Blight in the future. Meanwhile Lena Luthor treats Samantha Arias, Reign. The third Worldkiller Pestilence arrives and both Supergirl and Imra team up to stop her. Pestilence reunites with Purity and together rescue Reign from Lena Luthor. 

Supergirl, Lena Luthor, and Alex use Brainiac's technology to hack into world of Reign to find Samantha. Together they find the location of the Fortress of Sanctuary with Martian Manhunter and Mon-El joining them to take on the Dark Trinity. Both Pestilence and Purity destroy one another as Purity regains her human consciousness. However the combined powers of both Pestilence and Purity enter into Reign and she escapes as the Sanctuary falls. Now Reign must kill her human side to be complete so she plans on killing Ruby, Samantha's daughter. 

Lena Luthor hid Ruby in her brother's mansion which is clocked as her mother Reign searches for her. Reign kills her birth mother and finds Ruby however she is captured by Supergirl and Mon-El using synthesized Kryptonite from Lena Luthor. However Reign is adapting to the Kryptonite thanks to the powers of Pestilence. 

Guardian and Supergirl stop the Church of Rao from creating another Worldkiller. They discover a rock called Yuda Kal that could stop Reign so Mon-El and Supergirl must travel 5 Light Years away to get it. They land on a Argo City where Supergirl meets her mom who along with the Argo Council gave the rock Yuda Kal to cure Reign. However the priestess who has been guiding Reign has been on Argo City all along. 

Supergirl heads back to Earth with Mon-El and cures Reign with the Yuda Kal. Afterwards Kara Zor-El returns to Argo City to spend time with her mother, as the Daughters of the Night take their ship to Earth and resurrect the Fortress of Sanctuary. The Daughters of the Night resurrect Reign as she turns Earth into New Krypton. Kara, her mother, and Mon-El transport back to Earth to stop them. Kara stops Reign however she inadvertently created a new nemesis by using the Yuda Kal in Siberia: The Red Daughter.

Devil Comics Review | Action Comics #1000 [2018]

After 80 years Action Comics finally reaches one thousand issues. The five hundredth issue came out 39 years ago in 1979. The last milestone Action Comics #900 was in 2011 before the New 52 relaunch. Action Comics has a rich history and issue one thousand has a series of stories by past writers including Dan Jurgens, Geoff Johns, Marv Wolfman, Paul Levitz, Neal Adams, Louise Simonson, as well as new ones like Scott Snyder, Tom King, Brad Meltzer, and Brian Michael Bendis. Each writer provides their take on the Man of Steel and the stories are extraordinary. The issue is also the first appearance of Rogol Zaar a new Superman villain responsible for the destruction of Planet Krypton. This is a once and a lifetime comic book milestone worth picking up.

Devil Comics Review | Supergirl Season 2 [2017] Mon-El

Superman and Supergirl team up to save a shuttle which one of the exploding parts was manufactured by Luthor Corp. Both Clark and Kara visit Lena Luthor to question her about the shuttle. The DEO discover Lena was the target of the shuttle crash and she will be targeted again. They discover Lex Luthor hired John Corben to target Lena. Supergirl stops Corben and saves Lena. Later Kara decides to become a reporter like her cousin Clark at CatCo Worldwide Media. Corben was taken to Cadmus where he will be transformed into Metallo. 

Cadmus creates two Metallos for National City and Metropolis for Supergirl and Superman to handle separately. However Supergirl has her sister while Superman has Martian Manhunter to back them up. Cat Grant leaves Catco with Jimmy Olsen while Kara works under Snapper Carr.

Someone attempts to assassinate POTUS for giving aliens amnesty on Earth. Supergirl believed it was Mon-El however with the help of Maggie Sawyer they discover the alien responsible Scorcher. Martian Manhunter meets the last daughter of Mars, Miss Martian at an alien bar in National City. 

Maggie Sawyer and Alex Danvers find Miss Martian fights in an underground fight club for aliens owned by Veronica Sinclair/Roulette. Martian Manhunter is kidnapped by Roulette and pits him against Miss Martian who refuses to kill him. Supergirl arrives and Maggie Sawyer arrests her however she is released due to her connections. Miss Martian is later revealed to be a White Martian. 

Camdus gave robbers alien weapons so they can get the Alien Amnesty Bill appealed. Mon-El has a human identity as Mike Matthews and works at CatCo while James Olsen becomes the Guardian protecting National City. Alex Danvers comes out to Maggie Sawyer. Lena Luthor's mother is revealed to be the head of Camdus. 

Supergirl and Martian Manhunter take on Rudy Jones who is infected by an alien parasite. Manhunter loses blood and needs Miss Martian's who is secretly a White Martian to heal. James Olsen becomes the Guardian fighting along side Mon-El against the Parasite. Supergirl finally manages to defeat the Parasite using nuclear material. After Mon-El appears in public, he his kidnapped by Camdus. 

Camdus lures Supergirl with Mon-El as bait and confronts the real Hank Henshaw who has been turned into a Cyborg Superman. Supergirl gives up her powers by using her solar flare to save Mon-El so Camdus can extract her blood. Hank Henshaw uses her blood to access the Fortress of Solitude database on Project Medusa. Jeremiah Danvers frees both Supergirl and Mon-El The Guardian is framed for murdered by another vigilante while the Martian Manhunter discovers Miss Martian is a White Martian and her blood is slowing turning him into one. 

The Cyborg Superman obtains the Medusa virus from the Fortress of Solitude to remove all alien life on Earth. Camdus decides to use the virus however they are betrayed by Lena Luthor who makes the virus inert. Martian Manhunter is also cured using the same material that rendered the Medusa virus inert. 

Both Supergirl and Mon-El are stuck on another planet under a Red Sun with Roulette until the DEO arrives to save them. Later Mon-El decides he finally wants to be a superhero.

The trial of Lillian Luthor begins however Metallo breaks her out and frames Lena Luthor for the escape using the Cyborg Superman. While in prison Metallo breaks Lena out of prison so she can join her mother in Cadmus and rid the world of Kryptonians. Supergirl stops Metallo before he explodes and saves Lena. 

Both Supergirl and Mon-El search for Livewire who was taken from prison. Kara discovers the Guardian is James Olsen while Martian Manhunter saves Miss Martian who is mentally dying due to a psychic attack. Supergirl, Mon-El, and Guardian team up to save Livewire who spares her captor for freedom. Two White Martians hunt for Miss Martian at the DEO. Supergirl, Martian Manhunter, and Miss Martian stop them. Miss Martian leaves Earth to find other White Martians who feel the same way as her. 

Supergirl takes on Mxyzptlk who wants to marry her. She tricks him into writing his name backwards and sends him back to the 5th dimension. Cadmus is kidnapping aliens listed on the alien registry stolen by Jeremiah Danvers who is forcibly sending them back home. Supergirl asks Lena Luthor for help to find her mother and Cadmus so she can stop them. However the ship is launched with Alex onboard but Supergirl stops the ship. Kara Danvers gets fired CatCo after she released the news concerning Cadmus kidnapping aliens while Mon-El’s parents arrive on Earth. We discover Mon-El is a prince on his home planet. 

The Daxamites arrive using a portal built by Lena Luthor and claim Earth as New Daxam. Now the Super Team needs to trust Camdus' leader Lillian Luthor who suggests to use the Phantom Zone Projector to board their ships to rescue Mon-El and Lena Luthor. They are both rescued however Supergirl must face Superman who is under the control of the Daxamites using Silver Kryptonite. Superman attacked Supergirl believing her to be Zod. 

Supergirl challenges Rhea to a trial by combat. M'Gann returns with White Martians ready to protect the Earth. Supergirl activates the fail safe device to poison the Daxamites including Mon-El. She sends Mon-El back on the ship he arrived in. A flashback on the day Krypton is destroyed reveals a third child Reign who survived its destruction and its rocket headed towards Earth.

Devil Comics Review | Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 [2017] Legion of Doom

The Time Masters were destroyed last season and now the Legends have taken up the mantle. Green Arrow discovers the Legends are missing with the help of Nathan Heywood while investigating a time quake in 1942 New York City. Sara Lance is searching for Damien Darhk so she can have revenge for killing her sister. The Legends kidnap Albert Einstein believing he created the atomic bomb that destroyed New York in 1942. However the Nazis kidnapped his wife to create the atomic bomb. Rip Hunter dispenses the Legends throughout time and uses the Waverider to stop the atomic bomb from hitting New York. Heatwave is put in stasis so he can retrieve the Legends later with the help of Nathan Heywood. We discover Damien Darhk has been working with the Reverse Flash while the Legends face the Justice Society of America. 

The Legends and the Justice Society of America team up to rescue their teammates the Atom and Vixen from the Nazis. The Reverse Flash kills Rex Tyler before he can stop the Legion of Doom. Vixen boards the Waverider believing Mick Rory was responsible for Rex's murder. She is detained by the Legends however they promise to track his killer down while Nathan Heywood is transformed into Captain Steel. 

The Legends track down a time pirate stuck in 1863 Mississippi where they encounter zombie Confederate soldiers. They stop the zombies virus which came from the time pirate. Later they head to 1987 to stop Damien Darhk from interrupting the US and Russia summit. After his defeat the Reverse Flash takes Darhk into the time stream to change their destinies. Later the Legends discover a time quake in 1874 and arrive to save Jonah Hex and the Wild West before heading back to 2016.

In 1927 Chicago, the threesome of Darhk, Zoom, and Malcolm Merlyn meet up with Al Capone to prepare him for the Legends who arrive to save Eliot Ness. Captain Steel impersonates Ness while he recovers from brain damage. Zoom disguises himself as Professor Martin Stein and infiltrates the Waverider along with Al Capone's men and Merlyn. The Legion of Doom are looking for the amulet which will give them the location of the Spear of Destiny to change reality itself. 

Months ago Rip Hunter takes the Spear of Destiny from the Waverider as the Legion of Doom arrives Hollywood in 1967 to get him. The Legends arrive and take on the Legion rescuing Rip Hunter who has lost his identity using the Time Drive. While attempting to encourage George Lucas to become a director who also has the Spear of Destiny, the Reverse Flash arrives and kidnaps Rip Hunter who is tortured for information of the Legion.

The Legion of Doom wants the Spear of Destiny so they can change their past and future. The Legends discover the mystery speedster is a time aberration Eobard Thawne who is being chased by the Black Flash. The Darhk and Merlyn help the Reverse Flash trap the Black Flash so they become equal partners. Rip Hunter travels to 1776 to kill George Washington and the Legends arrive to stop him. It was a trap so Rip Hunter can steal the Spear of Destiny and bring it to the Legion of Doom. The Legends save Camelot from the Legion of Doom and capture Rip Hunter. 

Rip Hunter escapes and the Waverider crash lands on Earth during the dinosaur period. The Legends enter Rip’s mind to free him from the Legion’s control with the help of Gideon.  With Rip back with the Legends, now they can retrieve the final piece of the Spear of Destiny. The Legends find Commander Steel who hid his portion of the Spear of Destiny on the moon. Atom retrieves it with the help of the Reverse Flash who is hunted by the Black Flash. 

The Legends travel to Vanishing Point to steal the rest of the Spear of Destiny from them. The Spear of Destiny is reforged and now they need to destroy it with the Blood of Christ. The Legends need to find JRR Tolkien in 1916 France so they can find the Blood of Christ. However they discovered the Legion of Doom brought back Captain Cold who also wants the Spear of Destiny so he may live. Now the Legion has the Spear of Destiny and the Blood of Christ is destroyed. 

The Legion of Doom created a world where the Legends serve them. Heatwave betrays Captain Cold and saves Nathan Haywood from death. Together they find Ray Palmer and restore their memories. Thawne is planning on destroying the Spear of Destiny as both the Legends and the Legion plan to steal it to use it to restore reality or change it to benefit themselves. The Reverse Flash destroys the Spear of Destiny and Vixen is killed by Captain Cold. The Legends decide to time travel back to 1916 and stop the Legion of getting the Spear of Destiny but first they must find Rip Hunter and the Waverider. Rip Hunter and the Waverider are shrunk on Thawne's desk at Star Labs. 

The Legends restore Rip Hunter and the Waverider to normal size using Ray Palmer's technology and head to 1916 to stop the Legion from obtaining the Spear of Destiny. They run into themselves which causes a time quake. They use the Spear of Destiny to return reality back to normal as the Reverse Flash is killed by the Black Flash. They return back to the present but it mixed with combining the past and the future as a result of the time quake. Season 3 begins this Fall 2017.

Devil Comics Review | Supergirl: Rebirth #1 [2016]

Following the success of the Supergirl television series, Rebirth brings a sense of familiarity to the series by involving the DEO. The issue begins back on Argo City, Krypton where Zor-El sentenced Lar-On to the Phantom Zone due to his exposure to Red Kryptonite. On Earth Director of the DEO Cameron Chase sends Supergirl towards the sun to restore her powers. We discover the Kryptonian Regeneration Matrix Clark was searching for in Superman Rebirth to bring back the New 52 Superman is onboard Supergirl's ship to regenerate her powers. 

A phantom radiation spike at the launch site opens up the Phantom Zone and brings Lar-On to Earth turning him to a werewolf. Supergirl rushes back to Earth and deals with Lar-On. She promises him the DEO will help him with his Red Kryptonite poisoning. Chase asks Kara to help her monitor alien activity on Earth while overseeing Kara's activity as Supergirl. The Danvers are her handlers pretending to be her "parents." The new comic series lines up with the television series bring new life to the Supergirl franchise.

Devil Comics Review | DC Universe: Rebirth #1 [2016]

Hype Following 2011’s New 52, DC Comics revitalizes the comic industry with Rebirth and bring legacy back to their characters. The one-shot promises a death of a character and the return of three characters to the DC Universe. DC is celebrating the event by releasing a limited edition midnight cover on the day of its release. The book is 80 pages and for only $2.99 and the final page promises to be explosive. 

Rehash The DC Universe Rebirth special is a continuation from the events of the Darkseid War and the Final Days of Superman story arcs which their finales were both released on the same day. During the Darkseid War, three versions of the Joker were revealed as well as Wonder Woman having a twin brotherwhile the Final Days of Superman saw the death of the New 52 Superman. The issue begins with the return of the Pre-Flashpoint Wally West attempting to reach out to Batman who has forgotten him in the first chapter Lost

The second chapter Legacy explores the Justice Society of America, Legion of Super-Heroes, the Microverse and the death of Pandora who brought the New 52 together. She was heavily marketed and her appearance was in every New 52 first issue in 2011. Her death will bring cheers for DC fans.

The third chapter Love features the aftermath of the Final Days of Superman where heroes like Green Arrow, Superman, and Aquaman are reconnecting their past loves including Wally West and Linda Park.

The fourth chapter Life sees Wally West and the New 52 version who are revealed to be cousins. Wally meets the New 52 Flash to say goodbye and to let him know someone has infected history to make people forget. Barry remembers Wally and brings him back while remembering the past. The finale reveals they are being watched and they are the ones who are behind the missing heroes, history, and legacies: Alan Moore’s Watchmen.

Feedback Writer Geoff Johns begins the story by relating to the readers on what it is like to have read the New 52 for the past five years where forgotten heroes, legacies, and history which created a foundation of great stories were all erased. It was been revealed the stories within the Rebirth titles will build to an event in August 2018. DC fans would return to the company after reading this issue. It brings an optimistic and hopeful DC Universe back as well as preparing them for the incorporation of the Watchmen universe in 2018.

Devil Comics Review | Superman [2016] The Final Days of Superman

Hype Following the year-long Truth storyline, Superman is back in his suit and discovers he needs to recruit superheroes to save the world in his absence. Writer Peter Tomasi begins an 8-part storyline which leads into Rebirth.

Rehash The issue begins with Superman finding out he is dying after the events of the Darkseid War, Savage Dawn, and JLA. However Superman continues to save lives as he grows sicker. He meets his childhood sweetheart Lana Lang and Lois Lane to reveal his final days as Superman. 

Superman asks Batman to find Supergirl who is in National City attempting to reboot her powers with the help of Cameron Chase and the DEO. Superman reveals to both of them that he is dying and these will be his final days. Superman and Batman deal with Chinese Zodiac Dragons and someone claiming to be Clark Kent causes havoc at the Daily Planet. Later Superman hands Supergirl the keys to the Fortress of Solitude as Wonder Woman arrives.

Both Superman and Wonder Woman head to ARGUS where they find a fake Superman powered by his solar flare he used on Ulysses. Superman speaks with Ulysses as the fake Superman breaks out causing power failures which Ulysses uses to break free. Steve Trevor restores power but the fake Superman escapes. Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman track him to China where they face the Great Ten. After their battle, they are taken to Doctor Omen who made a Super-Man of her own. Meanwhile the Solar Superman visits Lois Lane and the New 52 Superman meets the Pre-Flashpoint Superman. We discover the Solar Superman is a prisoner named Denny Swan. The New 52 Superman sacrifices himself to save his friends paving the way for the Post-Crisis Superman to assume the role. 

Feedback The title is called the Final Days of Superman which seems to mirror Alan Moore’s Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow. We know the Pre-Flashpoint Superman will be the prime Superman after Rebirth however what we do not know is the final fate of the New 52 Superman. He may die at the end of Super League, DC Universe: Rebirth, or he may lose his powers completely and remain as a powerless Clark Kent. Writer Peter Tomasi is taking over Superman and it seems since the New 52 began that the franchise is in good hands. He took what has happened to the New 52 Superman and brought all those stories forward to create a compelling character within him.

Devil Comics Review | Supergirl Season 1 [2016]

The Supergirl series premieres on CBS during the Fall TV season of 2015. The Pilot episode begins as we learn Kal-El is sent to Earth and Kara is sent to protect him however after Krypton exploded the shockwave sends her ship into the Phantom Zone. When she managed to escape Kara arrives on Earth and is greeted by a grown Kal-El who is known to the world as Superman. He takes her to be adopted by the Danvers. 

Now known as Kara Danvers, she works at a media empire Catco in National City with her boss Cat Grant. Kara also meets James Olsen who transferred from Metropolis. Unknown to Kara at the time when she escaped the Phantom Zone she was followed by Kryptonian prisoners who wants to target Kara since her mother put them away. Their first target is her sister Alex Danvers who was taking a plane to Geneva before it was sabotaged. Kara saves the lives on the plane however makes her presence known to the world as Supergirl.

Kara puts on her costume and begins fighting crime however she is quickly targeted by DEO agents Hank Henshaw and her own sister Alex. She discovers her arrival on Earth brought the prisoners of Fort Rozz from the Phantom Zone. 

Kara’s first villain is Vartox who was more than she could handle during their first fight. She is saved by her sister and DEO agents. Later Alex gives Kara a Kryptonian time capsule which contains a message from her mother telling her to find her own destiny. Kara takes on Vartox again and turns his weapon against him. The finale reveals James Olsen knew Kara’s identity as Superman’s cousin and gives her a new cape from Kal-El’s baby blanket and the leader of Fort Rozz is Kara’s aunt. Overall the series packs a punch and borrows the best from past. 

Some of the Easter Eggs include the Danvers being played by the Helen Slater and Dean Cain. Helen Slater played the original Supergirl in the 1984 film while Dean Cain was Superman on the 1990s Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman series. Saving passengers on a plane is reminiscent of the original Superman film with Christopher Reeve as well as Superman Returns with Brandon Routh. Much like how Lois Lane named Superman, media mogul Cat Grant names Supergirl. Hank Henshaw is introduced as the head of the Department of Extranormal Operations and in the comics he becomes the Cyborg Superman. Vartox communicates with Supergirl using a high frequency broadcast like Lex Luthor did in the original Superman film. Borrowing from the past is a great way to move the legacy forward as it connects the fans of yesterday to today.

Later in the season Kara battles his aunt and her husband Non while Maxwell Lord created a clone of Supergirl which later became Bizarro Girl after she was exposed to Blue Kryptonite. In the comics, Bizarro Girl was created by Bizarro and sent to Earth while Bizarro World was under attack.

The head of the DEO Hank Henshaw is revealed to be J’onn J’onzz AKA the Martian Manhunter. Over the course of the season, Supergirl battles Hellgrammite, Reactron, Livewire, Red Tornado, Toyman, and Master Jailer. The Supergirl and Flash television crossover introduced us to the Silver Banshee.

Kara is exposed to Red Kryptonite which was created by Maxwell Lord and loses her reputation in National City. The Martian Manhunter stopped her at the cost of his civilian identity Hank Henshaw. He is later captured by the DEO and sent to Project Camdus which makes Lucy Lane the new director of the DEO. Non enacts his plan to take over National City and the world with Indigo as Supergirl battles Maxima and her sister. 

After defeating them both, Supergirl has to save the world as Non final plans are to destroy its people since he cannot control them. She takes Fort Rozz into space before the frequency being emitted kills all life on Earth. Supergirl sacrifices herself however is saved by her sister using Kara’s pod ship. The finale sees a similar Kryptonian pod crash on Earth as Supergirl and Martian Manhunter intercept it. Season one of Supergirl is off to a great start as it plants the seeds for future seasons.
