Following the events of last issue’s finale, Carol Danvers asks Peter Parker to give up being Spider-Man. Gwen Stacy has an emotional breakdown and leaves May’s home. J. Jonah Jameson reveals he knows Spider-Man’s identity and vows to protect him. Much like his creator-owned series Scarlet, Brian Michael Bendis writes the perfect dialogue for each of the characters within their situations. Now after a decade of writing the Ultimate Spider-Man, Bendis characterizations and situations are both new and fresh for this series.
