ACTION COMICS ANNUAL #13

Lex Luthor arrives in Metropolis meets a young Perry White and gets mixed up with Bruno Mannheim who runs Intergang. Luthor is transported to Apokolips since Mannheim has been secretly working with Darkseid. Luthor attempts to assassinate Darkseid however with no success flees to Earth. The second story concerns Lex Luthor as the apprentice of Ra’s Al Ghul who he later betrayed. Ra’s Al Ghul kills Luthor however places him into the Lazarus Pit to be resurrected.

Paul Cornell (Action Comics) has really mastered Lex Luthor by giving the audience insight into his character. Artist Marco Rudy and Ed Benes have brought their best work into this annual by creating settings and sequences that enhance the overall story. We also got a sneak preview of the upcoming ongoing series Batman Beyond.
