TRANSFORMERS: RISING STORM TRADE PAPERBACK
After Optimus Prime sent the Allspark into space, Shockwave sent his lieutenants in pursuit of the Allspark while he remained behind to kill the Autobots. He discovers the Allspark will die with the humans so he travels to Earth to bring it back to Cybertron. Shockwave lands in the frozen tundra of Tunguska, Siberia in 1908 where his body goes into stasis lock and taken to a Soviet Gulag until Megatron frees him in the present.
In the present Shockwave and his henchman Astrotrain gather materials for an unknown purpose from an oil refinery plant in China Philadelphia
Starscream arrives with his forces to retrieve Brains while Sam calls Optimus Prime for help who assembles and deploys the Autobots. Optimus Prime and the Autobots have been tracking down Starscream who has been selling Cybertronian weaponary to humans. The Autobots team-up with the organization called NEST to protect Earth.
This story is very convoluted unless you patiently sit down and breakdown the story. Individually the issues would be horrible however reading them in a trade paperback format lets the story flow and shine. The story didn’t add much except introduced mechanical tenacles which will be seen in the upcoming Transformers 3.

- Shockwave travels to NEST Headquarters kills the director and harms the Autobot refugees
- Shockwave kills Elita-One before facing off against Optimus Prime
