Writer Tom DeFalco and artist Ron Frenz brought the daughter of Peter Parker to life with Spider-Girl from Marvel Comics. Now both creators take a shot at the older and mature Man of Tomorrow with Superman Beyond. Following last year’s Superman/Batman Annual #4, Superman returns home after a year exploring the galaxy and preventing an alien invasion on a distant planet.
On Earth Mangler Macarro who is a prisoner at Metropolis Detention System is assigned to clean up Lex Labs after his wife and daughter decide to move on with their life. He accidentally discovers a hidden compartment containing with unknown substance which transforms him into Armorgeddon.
The Justice League arrives and are quickly defeated before Superman steps in to remedy the matter. Superman takes him up into the stratosphere where the air is thin.However Armorgeddon uses his powers to impale Superman before both of them return to Earth where Superman agrees to join the Justice League. A few days later attending while attending Lois’s grave, Bruce Wayne arrives to welcome back Clark Kent
