GREEN LANTERN VOLUME 3: RISE OF THE
THIRD ARMY HARDCOVER
The origin of Simon Baz is revealed to be a car theft who
mistakenly stole a van full of explosives. After receiving the Green Lantern
ring, Simon gets a message from both Hal Jordan and Sinestro to find other
lanterns and stop the Guardians. Simon visits his sister Sira who has just been
fired from her job due to Simon’s arrest. Sira asks her to meet tonight at the
school however Simon faces the Justice League.
After escaping the Justice League, Sira gives Simon the
address of the person who owned the van with the bombs inside. Simon confronts
the man who was responsible however the Third Army arrives to wreak havoc.
After the battle Green Lantern B’Dg arrives to reveal the Guardians have gone
rogue.
Meanwhile in space the Guardians are using the Third Army
to extinguish free will as the First Lantern grows angry. Inside the Chamber of
Shadows, Black Hand discovers the Chamber was a prison to hold the First
Lantern who the Guardians used to power the Third Army.
