Following the events of Season 4 of Star Wars The Clone Wars, Darth Maul is back and joins his brother
Savage Opress. The Jedi Council creates a task force to track down the
brothers. The brothers land on a planet which has imprisoned a princess who
promises them wealth if she is released.
Anakin Skywalker informs Chancellor Palpatine that Darth
Maul is alive as the origin of the Darth Maul following his “death” is The Phantom Menace is told. The Sith
brothers arrive on Pleem’s Nexus with the princess and slays her brother and
his guards. The Jedi arrive in time to stop the Sith brothers from taking their
wealth for rescuing the princess. The events lead to Star Wars: Darth Maul Death Sentence.
