Following
Vader Down, Dr. Aphra is captured by
the Rebels and Darth Vader assassinates the royal family of Shu-Torun and
places its youngest daughter, Trios, on the throne in the Darth Vader Annual #1. Vader offers a reward to find Dr. Aphra
while he deals with the resistance on the planet Shu-Torun. The resistance
finds an ally in the cyborg specialist Cylo who works with the Emperor and
wanted to replace his apprentice Darth Vader with his modified cyborg
assassins.
Vader
begins the attack to stop the resistance while Cylo sabotages his advances
while his assassins attack him. One of the assassins reveals Cylo’s betrayal.
Queen Trios wins the war and Vader explains to the Emperor that Cylo and his
assassins are traitors. Aphra has been found by Inspector Thanoth who
investigating a theft which was orchestrated by Vader and Aphra. Writer Kieron
Gillen has planned out the series to bring events and characters together
without being forced into situations. A wonderful story arc as we reach towards
the 25th issue of the series with the End of Games.
