The origin of Captain Boomerang is revealed as he moves from Australia to Central City. Working for a boomerang company didn’t pay off so he turned to a life of crime. Imprison by the Flash after his crimes the Rogues came and made him an offer. Afterwards he served in the Suicide Squad before returning back to Australia and attending his mother’s funeral.

In the present Captain Boomerang releases the Grinder as a distraction so he can free the Reverse-Flash Professor Zoom. Captain Boomerang wants to understand the visions he has after the events of the Blackest Night as well as the future. Now that Professor Zoom is release the road to Flashpoint begins.
