The Road to Flashpoint begins here and officially starts after Free Comic Book Day in May when the War of the Green Lanterns ends. Geoff Johns introduces the character of Hot Pursuit who is revealed to be a time anomaly of Barry Allen. This particular speedster can only use vehicles to speed. Meanwhile Barry Allen investigates the mysterious death of the Elongated Kid who aged from 16 to an old man. Barry still thinks about how the Reverse-Flash murdered his mother and framed his father. Most likely this sub-plot will carry on through Flashpoint as Geoff Johns plants seeds within each issue revealing hints and Easter eggs as the event approaches.
