Batman: Detective Comics Vol.1: Faces of Death HC [2011-2012]

BATMAN: DETECTIVE COMICS VOLUME 1 HARDCOVER
Batman rescues a little girl named Olivia as the Joker is captured and taken to Arkham Asylum. During his stay the Dollmaker comes to visit and removes the Joker’s face. Both Olivia and Commissioner Gordon are kidnapped as Batman faces the Dollmaker who is the son of a serial killer Wesley Mathis. Gordon’s kidney is removed while Olivia delivers a message to Batman and afterwards kills a police officer. Batman is led into a trap AT Mercy Hospital by the Dollmaker who streams a live video of Batman fighting against multiple Jokers.

After the first issue ended it seemed the story would focus on the Joker however nothing has been mentioned of him after the first issue. The rest of the story arc went into an entirely different direction. Very disappointed with writer Tony McDaniel however admire him for working as both as a writer and an artist for Detective Comics. The next arc will feature backups along with a $1.00 cover price increase. Writer Scott Snyder seems to be defining both the Dark Knight as well as Bruce Wayne. Main bet is anything that matters concerning Batman would most likely be written by him.
