THE MIGHTY THOR VOLUME 1 GALACTUS SEED PREMIERE HARDCOVER
Following the battle with the World Eaters, the World Tree Yggdrasil is split after Thor used the Odinsword. Odin asks Thor and Sif to retrieve the Worldheart at the root of the World Tree. The retrieval came at the cost of Thor receiving a gash across his abdomen which is spewing out a strange light instead of blood. Odin takes the seed and plants it within the Destroyer armor for safe keeping.
Galactus and Silver Surfer are aware of the Worldheart seed and aims to retrieve it from the Asgardians. Silver Surfer seeks the seed to end Galactus’s hunger forever. However Odin believes Galactus wants Godhood so he can live forever. The Asgardians prepare for a cosmic war against Galactus for the Worldheart. Thor and Silver Surfer battle on Mars while Odin and Galactus face-off. The conflict leads both sides back to Broxton.
Meanwhile Loki steals a lock of Sif’s hair to save Thor’s life as well as the Worldheart from the Destroyer. He takes the Worldtree to the core of the World Tree as the people of Broxton feel unsafe with the Asgardians as neighbors and ban them from their town. Declaring the Asgardians as outlaws, the angry mob led by Pastor Mike faces Volstagg and his Brigade of Realms however both unites to face Galactus.
