G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Annual 2012

G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO ANNUAL 2012
Both G.I. Joe and Cobra are on the trail of a rogue Crimson Guard who has made a homemade bomb. Cobra Commander sends Zartan and the Dreadnoks to take care of the rogue Crimson Guard unit. Zartan uses the Joes to track the Crimson Guard unit down to an amusement park. However there are two target areas available within the amusement park the Joes need to cover while the Dreadnoks uses the security system of the park to locate the rogue unit.

The Crimson Guard face the onslaught of the Dreadnoks as Junkyard Dog sinks the explosives underwater. Zartan takes disguises himself as Scarlett after taking her out and kills the ring leader of the rogue Crimson Guard unit. Zartan escapes with the Dreadnoks leaving the Joes to clean up the mess.

Back in 1988 Marvel Comics G.I. Joe A Real American Hero #81 which featured both Battle Force 2000 taking on the Dreadnoks was last story I read by Larry Hama featuring the 80s version of the Joe team. Now 24 years later Hama delivers the suspense and action I have been craving for all these years. Seriously going back and reading the former issues written by Hama.
