GREEN LANTERN CORPS VOLUME 3: RISE
OF THE THIRD ARMY HARDCOVER
The Guardians
have promoted Guy Gardner to Lantern Sentinel while they ask John Stewart to
find out where Mogo is reforming. The Guardians are dividing and conquering the
Green Lantern Corps using the Third Army. Guy heads to Earth to save his family
from a prisoner who was released by the Guardians.
Kilowog
and Salaak discover the Guardians edited the feed that would have exonerated
John Stewart from murder. But the Guardians kept the recording hidden leading
to Guy and John to destroy the Alpha Lanterns. Now no Green Lanterns are
allowed to leave Oa. Meanwhile the Guardians ask for the resignation of Guy who
failed to save the people he was escorting and the death of multiple Green
Lanterns. Guy resigns and sent back to Earth and interferes with a Federal
Investigation which gets him arrested by his sister Gloria.
Lantern
Salaak discovers the Guardians plot of the Third Army and they imprison him.
The Guardians target Guy Gardner for assimilation by the Third Army.

First Lantern begins. The Guardians of the Universe bait their Green

can assimilate them with ease.
Stewart
and Fatality attempt to locate Mogo who protects them and destroys the invading
Third Army. Gardner and Kilowog assemble a team of Green Lanterns to stop the
Guardians from carrying out their plans. White Lantern Kyle Rayner arrives to
save Gardner
The First
Lantern Volthoom is freed seeking revenge against the Guardians by destroying
everything they have ever created so he can control the universe once again.
