The first year wraps up the three new series of the G.I. Joe franchise following the fallout after the death of the original Cobra Commander. On the frontlines of Nanzhao, Flint and his team face off against Cobra B.A.T.s. Meanwhile Snake-Eyes takes on Stormshadow and the Arashikage clan however Stormshadow offers a truce to take on the new Cobra Commander. Cobra detonates nukes in empty Nanzhao cities. The purpose for Cobra Civil War and Cobra Command is to change the status quo by allowing Cobra to operate in public while G.I. Joe goes into the shadows.
